Furnishing Great Starts Volunteer Positions

You will be the first point of contact when a family is referred to our organization as they are ready to transition out of a shelter and into their own apartment. Responsibilities would include:

Take down their contact information

Help the family select the items they need by reviewing a 'new apartment checklist' with them

Coordinate a time for them to come “shop” at the warehouse

Create document of items to be delivered on moving day

Coordinate delivery with the moving team 

Follow up with client after move in

Client Liaison

Moving Day Lead

Provide pick up and drop off times for moving day

Meet volunteers at the warehouse and assign tasks for the day

Oversee Pick up of donations and drop off of client needs
