MOMS4MOMS Group Volunteers

Central to our organization is the personal relationships we build with the families we serve.  We believe the most effective way to deepen these relationships is through  a peer to peer group setting where Moms and our Volunteers can share their parenting journeys, tips, tricks, wins, and fails and in the process,  build meaningful relationships. Not only do we strengthen our relationships with the families  but we reduce the isolation many Moms experience in their community by introducing them to both neighbors and allies.

Volunteer opportunities -

Group Presenter:

While we envision the group as primarily  “peer led,” we do welcome your special talents to the group.  Examples include (but not limited to): economic stability, positive parenting techniques, healthy co-parenting, a one time special art project, etc.

Group Ally:

This would be a more consistent role where you will attend the groups (once a month)  and participate as you feel comfortable.  We expect that barriers will go down and trust will be built over time. You may find one Mom you feel especially connected to or you may just enjoy the group as a whole. It’s all good.  Our goal is to build relationships organically.

“Friendships between women, as any woman will tell you, are built of a thousand small kindnesses... swapped back and forth and over again.”
